Prepared to be Wowed at Nossa
When a friend from Market Harborough mentioned to Sunil Poduval that a restaurant space was for sale in the town, the computer scientist and fine food and drink specialist, jumped at the chance.

Nossa opened in December 2021 and has won multiple awards. With a head chef who worked at a Michelin starred restaurant, Sunil now wants to make Nossa the go to place for fine dining in Harborough.
After a successful career in computer driven wireless technology, Sunil Poduval decided to follow his dreams and work in food and drink. As well as establishing GoodEarth (an environmentally responsible food and drink business) Sunil is the owner of Nossa restaurant on Abbey Street in Market Harborough. ‘During my university days I had a student swap with Loughborough, and ended up making some friends in the area,’ says Sunil. ‘One of my friends from Market Harborough informed me about the opportunity of owning a restaurant here.’ Along with head chef Tim Luff, Sunil has transformed Nossa into a beautiful fine-dining experience, serving modern and contemporary British and European food in a welcoming and friendly environment. Over their time together, Nossa has become a multiple award-winning restaurant, achieving the OpenTable Diners choice award for three years in a row. They also won the TripAdvisor award for being in the top 10% restaurants worldwide. ‘Our customers love our food and leave us wonderful reviews,’ says Sunil. ‘Nossa can mean ‘wow’ in Portuguese, and ultimately I would love the Nossa brand to grow in many cities and continue to ‘wow’ our customers with our food and service!’ Situated just off Abbey Street, Nossa benefits from its quiet, yet central location. It is close to Harborough’s bars and car parks, yet still maintains that cosy, tucked-away feel. The MaHa team were lucky enough to sample Tim’s incredible cooking and we can safely say that visitors will not be disappointed. The range of flavours and attention to detail within each dish was truly something special. Praise must also go to the attentive and friendly staff who seemed to make each customer feel like a VIP – from the leaving party taking place upstairs, to the date nights happening on the ground floor. ‘We think everyone should know about Nossa,’ says Sunil. ‘We can cater for parties as well as intimate dinners. We’re excited about sharing more seasonal food over the Autumn and Winter, and Christmas party specials, too, during December.’ Nossa is open Wednesday–Sunday 12pm–9pm and can be found at 17 Abbey Street.
