We are once again teaming up with Quinn’s bookshop for our second annual short story competition – discovering Harborough’s best unpublished fiction writers.
We were so thrilled with the response to our first short story competition last year that we have decided to do it all over again. Joining award-winning local author Tamsin Winter on the judging panel this year is Jen Parker, who has published two short story collections, alongside Danny Read from Quinn’s and MaHa’s editor and author Gemma Barder. The overall winner’s story will be published in Issue 18 of MaHa (July-September) as well as receiving a £20 voucher from Quinn’s bookshop. Each judge will also have two runner up picks, which will be published on the MaHa website. The rules Your story must be between 500-1000 words long and be centred around the theme of ‘Community’. Stories must be emailed to: [email protected] no later than midnight on 9th June 2023. Your story must not have been previously published. |
